As a lifelong horse girl showing on the Quarter Horse circuit, my favorite place to be is in the saddle. When I am in the saddle, I want to feel confident, comfortable and totally focused on my horse, but I couldn’t find any jeans that made me feel like my best self in the saddle. Everything I tried bunched at the hips, gapped at the waist, sagged in the seat, or rubbed in the saddle. Cowgirl athletes deserve jeans that support them as they chase their big dreams with their horse - that’s why I created MarkWest.

The MarkWest Legacy
My love for horses started when my Grandpa Mark put me on a half-broke pony and took me to the county fair every summer to see the draft horses, like the ones he grew up with. Next came riding lessons and spending all the time I could at the barn. The first time I went to a Quarter Horse show and saw all the beautiful horses and sparkly show outfits, I was hooked.
